What I Believe I’m liberal on social issues and a fiscal conservative when it comes to balancing the budget and ending the current blank check policy that has caused our deficit to exceed 3 trillion dollars while putting our international credit rating at risk. I believe our economy is directly related to jobs and jobs need t be created through private enterprise with a strong emphasis on helping small businesses. I believe the U.S. Constitution is one of the greatest documents and it applies to all people. I believe the ultimate power of our citizens rests with their vote and represents the exercise of true freedom. I believe the future of our country is with our children. It begins with grades K-12 and continues through our higher education system which ultimately results in better and more productive citizens. I believe in a strong military with an emphasis on defensive policies, protecting our borders utilizing available technologies and enforcing existing immigration laws. I believe everyone should have access to health care and it should be ranked among the finest in the world. I believe in a woman’s right to choose, the elimination of the military’s don’t ask don’t tell policy and assuring gay couples have the same rights and privileges granted to straight couples.
